DLX Celebrates Spiritual Commitment with Annual Drive

As the sun began to crest the horizon just before Easter, the members of the **Domino Lux International Fraternity and Sorority (DLX)** embarked on their cherished **annual spiritual drive**. This vibrant pilgrimage, weaving through various parishes across the island, symbolizes **DLX’s unwavering commitment to faith** and community engagement.

A Holy Week Tradition Rooted in Faith

DLX, a respected **non-profit organization**, proudly upholds the tradition of visiting Guam’s **Catholic churches** during Holy Week. According to **Arnel Francisco**, the founder of DLX International, “We can reach 100 and close to 200 participants in the spiritual drive. The thing here is consistency of faith.” This year’s drive saw an impressive turnout, underscoring the group’s deep-rooted spiritual ethos.

A Journey Together

Saturday morning began with a dynamic motorcade that kicked off in **Maite**. Our journey paused at the **Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish** in Santa Rita, marking the thirteenth stop on this spiritual odyssey. With each parish visited, the sense of camaraderie among members grew, showcasing the power of shared beliefs and communal traditions.

Emotional Connections: More than Just a Group

For **Joanna Antonio**, a devoted DLX sister since 2012, the spiritual drive is not just an event; it’s a lifeline. “I look forward to the event each year because I consider DLX my second family,” she shared passionately. “This is the only day that we give our sacrifice and pray. My faith to God is always there, and DLX allows me to give back to the community.”

Embracing New Members and Celebrating Love

The spirit of unity was also evident as new participants joined the fold. **Mary Lopez**, wife of DLX member **Milbert Lopez**, expressed her heartfelt emotions. “It’s our first time joining the spiritual drive, and it’s really an honor. It’s a surreal experience because it’s me and my husband’s anniversary today,” she proclaimed, her eyes sparkling with joy. Mary is even considering joining the sorority, inspired by the positive changes she’s witnessed in her husband and family.

“It has benefited me and my husband spiritually, especially now that we’re expecting our fifth child. His involvement has encouraged us, and I’m really grateful for that,” she added, emphasizing the drive’s impact on family life.

Beyond the Spiritual Drive: A Dedication to Community

The **DLX spiritual drive** is just one of many initiatives that demonstrate the organization’s commitment to bettering Guam. Their calendar is filled with community-centric events such as **family days**, **park adoptions**, **school and bus-stop projects**, **beach cleanups**, and awareness campaigns against bullying. These endeavors not only uplift the community but also instill a sense of purpose among members.

In an ever-changing world, DLX remains a steadfast beacon of hope and connection. As members continue their traditions, they invite others to join this uplifting journey of faith and community service. **Get involved, embrace the spirit of giving, and discover how you can make a difference!**
