With 33 diverse food trucks scheduled to attend this year, attendees are bound for an extraordinary gastronomic adventure, where the choices seem practically limitless.
A Journey Through Time: The Evolution of the Festival
First launched in 2020, the Flathead Food Truck Festival started as a lifeline for food truck owners struggling during the pandemic. Since then, it has evolved, shifting locations, and modifying its focus to blend both live music and culinary arts. This year, while the music component has been scaled back, the celebration of food remains at the forefront, with no ticket entry required—an open invitation for food lovers everywhere.
Supporting Local Talent: A Charitable Twist
In an exciting new development, the festival has attained 501(c)(3) nonprofit status! Organizer Ryan Garnache, a passionate food truck owner himself, explains, “We want to use the festival as a vehicle for change.” The proceeds will help fund a new scholarship program aimed at assisting local high school graduates in attending FVCC’s Culinary Institute of Montana. “We hope to open doors for underserved kids in our community,” Garnache shares, emphasizing the festival’s commitment to fostering local talent.
