BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The excitement is palpable as the Tennessee Lady Vols gear up for an exhilarating 2025 SEC volleyball season. The SEC office unveiled the full 15-match slate on Thursday morning, and fans are buzzing with anticipation. This year marks a significant moment in conference history as all 16 member institutions will participate in SEC volleyball, making this a season unlike any other.
Key Changes for 2025 Season
For the first time ever, the SEC will feature a revised format where teams will face every opponent just once. Additionally, the SEC Volleyball Championship makes a highly-anticipated return after a 20-year hiatus since its last event in 2005. Match times and television assignments are still under wraps but will be revealed soon, keeping fans eagerly on the edge of their seats.
A Closer Look at the Lady Vols’ Schedule
The Lady Vols will kick off their league journey at home on Wednesday, Sept. 24, taking on the Georgia Bulldogs. Just two days later, on Friday, Sept. 26, they will host South Carolina, setting the stage for a thrilling start to the season.
After a strong opening at home, Tennessee will hit the road for three consecutive matches against formidable opponents: LSU on Oct. 3, Texas on Oct. 8, and then Ole Miss on Oct. 12.
Home Showdowns: Florida & Auburn
On October 15, the Florida Gators are set to invade the Food City Center, marking their first visit since 2022. Following this exciting matchup, Tennessee will aim to extend their four-match home winning streak against the Auburn Tigers on October 19.

The latter part of the schedule presents a balanced mix of home and away series. The Lady Vols will take on Alabama on October 24 and Mississippi State on October 26 before hosting Missouri on Halloween. They will then face off against Texas A&M on November 2.
