1. Last Breath

Released in February but caught my attention only in April through Peacock, "Last Breath" turned out to be a fairly forgettable film despite its interesting premise. At just 1 hour and 33 minutes, it felt longer than expected—maybe because of its pacing? Nonetheless, it’s worth a watch if you’re a fan of the genre, but don’t hold your breath too long!
2. A Minecraft Movie

Simply put, this film is a masterpiece! With a DVD release planned for June 24th, I can’t wait to experience this cinematic treasure again. Trust me, you’ll see why I’m giving it a perfect score!
3. Thunderbolts: The New Avengers

Without a shadow of a doubt, this was my favorite film so far! A staggering 6 out of 5 stars, it exceeds expectations. I’m anxious for the digital release because I simply cannot wait to rewatch this thrill ride!
4. Lilo & Stitch (2025)

Anticipation ran high leading to the release of this film, and luckily, it didn’t disappoint me—though many fans left the theater feeling let down. The live-action reimagining of Lilo & Stitch was surprisingly enjoyable for me, but it seems opinions are mixed! Here’s a quick rundown of my thoughts:
- Stitch’s portrayal felt odd, but the monologue was spot on.
- Was "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" even a part of this movie? I can’t seem to recall…
- The performances, bar a few exceptions (yes, you, Zach Galifianakis), were top-notch.
With box office numbers soaring, the likelihood of a sequel looms—let’s hope they don’t mess it up!
5. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

While I’m working on a detailed review for this film, it did deliver a solid experience. However, it felt a bit less colorful than its predecessors. Despite this, the climax was perfect, and the movie overall was an enjoyable ride through familiar territory.
6. Fountain of Youth
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/4
This movie serves as an entertaining homage to the Indiana Jones thrill, merging elements of various adventure films. My notes are few since I opted not to craft a full review. Some highlights include:
- VidAngel: Seriously, why?
- The nods to classic adventure storytelling were apparent and effective.
- Lots of classic clichés, but ultimately enjoyable!
7. Karate Kid: Legends
Upcoming Release Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/4
Although it bears similarities to the 2010 version, I’m surprisingly excited about Karate Kid: Legends. Stay tuned as I look forward to seeing it in theaters!
8. How to Train Your Dragon
Upcoming Release Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
Another film that has me feeling conflicted. It closely mirrors the original without adding fresh elements. As always, let’s hope for some creativity to emerge!
