Formed through the vision of Hutchison and Malone, The Wallabies came to life after the duo’s previous band, Juggs, went on an indefinite hiatus. Seeking to channel their creativity into something fresh, the pair enlisted the rest of the group, culminating in a dynamic synergy that fuels their artistic endeavors.
A Creative Sanctuary: Rehearsals at Home
Their practice space? A cozy bedroom shared by Hutchison and Malone, where the magic happens. Here, they rehearse future sets, fine-tune their songs, and carve out each member’s role within the ensemble. About half of their performances include original tracks, while the other half consist of expertly chosen covers.
In this intimate setting, the band explores their creative boundaries, working collaboratively on previously played songs to refine them for future production. As their journey progresses, the focus is increasingly shifting towards crafting their own distinct sound.

With an impressive foundation in production knowledge, Malone and Pacas are eager to experiment in the recording process. “We love mixing and matching our instruments and putting together our producer knowledge to create something unique,” Malone enthused.
