SYRACUSE, N.Y. – In an exhilarating turn of events, the Syracuse University men’s lacrosse team has reclaimed its spot among the elite, landing fourth in both the USILA Division I Coaches Poll and the Inside Lacrosse Division I Media Poll. This marks their return to the top five for the first time in over two months, following an impressive victory over Notre Dame, previously ranked fifth.

A Dominating Performance Against Notre Dame

Syracuse (9-2, 2-0 ACC) showcased their prowess in a stunning 14-9 win against the Fighting Irish. The Orange executed a nine-goal run, delivering a 40-minute shutout that dismantled Notre Dame’s momentum. Notable mentions include the top-ranked Cornell, as well as No. 6 Maryland, No. 7 North Carolina, No. 9 Notre Dame, and No. 10 Harvard. Furthermore, contenders like Duke and Johns Hopkins are also part of the discussion, making for an electrifying season ahead.
