### Meet Notes

#### Star Athletes to Watch
– **Ismael Dembele**: This week’s reigning **Mountain West Men’s Field Athlete of the Week** is set to compete at the Mines Kit Mayer. Last week, Dembele astounded spectators with an impressive **15.60-meters (51-feet-2.25)** in the triple jump. While this jump doesn’t qualify for the Colorado State record book, it does place him **17th nationally** in qualifying standings. What’s more thrilling? His second attempt has him ranked **fourth all-time** at CSU!

– **Klaire Kovatch**: An *all-around dynamo*, Kovatch will take on challenges across both days at Golden. Last year’s performances at the MW Outdoor Championship showcased her versatility, where she not only competed in the **shot put**, **hammer throw**, and **discus**, but also narrowly missed placing in the javelin. Expect her to bring home vital points for the Rams!

– **Elite Throwing Team**: The men’s throwing squad is a force to be reckoned with, featuring standouts like **Kyle Bigley**, **Cameron Kalaf**, and **Adam Hellbom**. Bigley’s prowess has him ranked in the **top 100 nationally** in shot put and **fourth in the Mountain West**, while Kalaf stands similarly in javelin rankings. Both Hellbom and Kalaf shine in the hammer throw as well, with Hellbom soaring just outside the top 50.

#### Looking for Glory
– **Cierra Gonzalez**: The reigning champion in the long jump is back to defend her title at the Mines Kit Mayer. With her stunning mark of **5.58 meters (18-3.75)**, Gonzalez captured her first gold medal last year, and this season, she’s already made her mark in the top 20 long jumpers in CSU history!

– **Men’s High Jump Thrillers**: The men’s high jump team continues to be a major point contributor for CSU, led by the remarkable **Ndayiragije Shukurani**. Ranking **65th nationally** with a jump of **2.08 meters (6-9.75)**, he’s joined by teammates **Jamison Taylor**, **Rhys Travis**, and **Timothy Johnson**, all vying to improve on their already stellar performances. With CSU occupying **three of the top five marks** in the Mountain West, anticipation builds as they head to the Mines Kit Mayer for another chance at glory.

### Conclusion
This weekend promises to be an exhilarating showcase of athleticism and tenacity for the Colorado State Rams. With their eyes set on personal bests and team triumphs, the athletes are primed for an unforgettable display of talent. Whether they are breaking records or defending titles, the Rams are determined to leave their mark on the track and field world.

Stay tuned for updates, as these remarkable athletes aim for greatness!
