**Ruston, LA**—An exceptional milestone has been reached at Louisiana Tech University as its College of Business (COB) and School of Accountancy proudly announce their reaccreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB). This esteemed recognition places Louisiana Tech among a mere 6% of business schools worldwide, a testament to their unwavering commitment to educational excellence.
Unpacking the AACSB Reaccreditation
The AACSB is synonymous with prestige in the realm of business education. With over 1,000 institutions globally achieving this revered accreditation, only **197** have earned the additional distinction for their accounting programs. This significant reaccreditation, a part of Louisiana Tech’s proud tradition, reinforces the school’s longstanding legacy in business education, originally accredited since **1955**. Notably, the School of Accountancy was among the first **20** schools in the nation to obtain separate accounting accreditation, and the **first** in Louisiana.
Voices Behind the Achievement
Dr. John Lauck, a professor and director of the School of Accountancy, emphasized the collaborative efforts that made this reaccreditation possible. “The School of Accountancy’s AACSB reaffirmation reflects the dedicated work of our faculty, students, alumni, and stakeholders,” he stated. He added that their commitment ensures the ongoing success of the accounting programs.
