Key Responsibilities
As the Coordinator of Athletic Marketing and Promotions, you will play a vital role in enriching the fan experience and supporting the university’s athletic initiatives. Your primary tasks will include:
- Creating and implementing marketing plans for athletic events to enhance fan engagement.
- Managing ticket sales for football and basketball seasons to drive attendance.
- Overseeing The sQUare, the campus fitness center store, to cultivate student interaction.
- Coordinating community outreach programs with local schools, churches, and businesses.
- Organizing events that support student-athletes and celebrate university traditions.
- Handling advertising sales and securing sponsorships for athletic events and venues.
- Collaborating with the Advancement and Sport Communications teams on fundraising initiatives.
- Assisting with game-day operations and serving as an on-site administrator.
- Ensuring compliance with NCAA, GLVC, and university policies.
- Participating in university committees and performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred).
- Prior experience in athletic administration or marketing, knowledge as a student-athlete is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends for athletic events.
- A strong understanding of collegiate athletics and effective fan engagement strategies.
Compensation and Benefits
Quincy University offers a competitive salary ranging from $46,000 to $50,000 per year, based on your experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
