This annual accolade recognizes the foremost shortstop in college baseball, honoring the legacy of beloved Texas Tech shortstop Brooks Wallace, who tragically passed away at just 27 years old.
Aiva Arquette: A Force to Be Reckoned With
Hailing from Kailua, Hawai’i, Arquette has showcased his immense talent throughout the season. He concluded the regular season with a staggering .348 batting average, hitting 17 home runs and driving in an impressive 60 runs. These figures put him ahead of his teammates, highlighting his crucial role in the Beavers’ lineup.

Not only has Arquette excelled at the plate, but he has also been a defensive powerhouse. As the lone Beaver to start at shortstop this season, he has committed just four errors, translating to an impressive .980 fielding percentage.
