“It’s not that I am adjusting to married life. I love being married to Aldo! He understands my work as a sportsperson,” Michele shares with us at the Ninoy Aquino Domestic Airport, just before her departure to the Bicol Kaogmahan Festival. After a stunning wedding in Baguio this past March, Michele had to re-aventure into her volleyball season almost immediately. “I had to leave him for a month for our games,” she explains, highlighting her commitment to both her sport and her relationship.

Not just a wife and athlete, Michele also proudly supports her brother, actor Marco Gumabao, who recently ran for an office seat in Camarines Sur. Although his campaign didn’t end in victory, Michele speaks admirably about his efforts and future aspirations: “Though he did not win, he fought well. It’s not his time yet, but he’s eager to serve in the future.”

Back at home, Michele assures us that Aldo isn’t lonely during her absences, thanks to their beloved pack of five adorable puppies: Rain, Luna, Rainbow, Sky, and Cloud. These fur babies not only provide companionship but also bring joy and laughter to their home.

In addition to their busy lives, the couple is diving into entrepreneurial waters with their new venture. They are about to launch Tree House, a unique coffee bar located in Poblacion that transforms into a bar by night.
