This April, the Rochester Americans are teaming up once again with Foodlink, the region’s vital food bank, to launch an incredible Community Food Drive at The Blue Cross Arena. This initiative not only aims to alleviate hunger but also inspires our fans to actively participate in bettering the lives of those in our community.
The Urgent Need: Tackle Food Insecurity Together
Food insecurity is a significant issue affecting countless families in Rochester, with Foodlink President and CEO, Julia Tedesco, highlighting a staggering 40% increase in visits for food assistance over the past year. In Tedesco’s words, “Our network of food pantries and meal programs has experienced a dramatic rise in demand, and we are incredibly thankful for the Amerks for their dedication to bringing attention to this pressing issue.”
How You Can Participate: Give & Get
From now until April 16, when the Amerks face off against the Cleveland Monsters, fans are encouraged to contribute. Simply bring two non-perishable food items to The Blue Cross Arena, and in return, you’ll receive a voucher for two complimentary tickets to that exciting game. This is not just a chance to support a wonderful cause; it’s also an opportunity to enjoy a thrilling evening with friends and family!
Donation Details: Where to Drop Off Your Support
Donations can be made conveniently at collection bins located in front of The Blue Cross Arena Box Office, in the lower atrium. The arena’s Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on game days starting at 11 a.m. until the first intermission.
Be Rewarded for Your Generosity
For every unopened, non-perishable food item you donate, you’ll receive a voucher for tickets to the Amerks game. Just one voucher will be issued per person, per transaction. Once you’ve got your voucher, head over to www.amerks.com/fooddrive to claim your complimentary tickets by entering the unique code found on your voucher.
Game Day and Ticket Information
The Amerks 2024-25 single-game tickets start as low as $10, with 2025-26 Season Ticket Memberships available from only $19 per game. Becoming a member not only secures your spot at upcoming games but also grants you exclusive perks and benefits.
