Anna Camp’s Interesting Journey in Season 5 of “You”

Anna Camp recently stole the spotlight at the New York City premiere of Netflix’s hit series “You,” and she had a delightful question to ask: would she earn double the pay for playing twins in the show’s fifth season?

The Double Trouble Question

As Camp recounted in an exclusive interview with Page Six, upon receiving the casting call, her immediate response was, “Well, I’m going to have to learn double the lines, will I get double the money?” Laughing, she elaborated, “They said, ‘No,’ but I did ask. I had to ask!” Her playful quest for more cash highlights the often humorous side of Hollywood negotiations.

Twinning Like Never Before

In the latest season, Camp embodies both Raegan and Maddie Lockwood, identical twins who are radically different. With “You” premiering in 2018, the show has captivated audiences with its darkly charming narrative, starring Penn Badgley as the notorious serial killer Joe Goldberg. Camp, now 42, expressed her excitement about finally taking on dual roles, a milestone she’d long awaited.

“Just to finally be on set and learn both sets of lines, getting both hair and makeup done, and switching wardrobes—it was incredibly exciting and challenging,” she remarked, demonstrating her passion for her craft.

A Tale of Two Sisters

The twins are starkly contrasted: Raegan is the nasty character, while Maddie embodies the naive and sweet persona. Reflecting on the experience, Camp couldn’t pick a favorite, calling them “both very fun in their own ways.”

One of her proudest moments came while watching the scene where she interacted with herself, declaring, “I was a little proud of myself!”

Star-Studded Premiere

The premiere was not just about Camp; it was a gathering of notable figures from the show. Penn Badgley, along with his pregnant wife Domino Kirke, graced the event. Other attendees included Charlotte Ritchie and Madeline Brewer, who fans might recognize from “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

The Funny Side of Filming

Pete Ploszek, who portrays Harrison, Raegan’s husband, humorously responded to Page Six when asked if he drew from personal experience for his rather dimwitted character. His playful retort—“Maybe”—added laughter to the evening.

Catch the Thrilling Conclusion

The fifth and final season of “You” is now available to stream on Netflix, wrapping up the twisted tale of Joe Goldberg. Don’t miss out on the enthralling dynamics between the twins and the intricate plot that has kept fans on the edge of their seats.
