Cox Farms Donates 1 Million Pounds of Fresh Food to Families in Need

Transforming Lives Through Fresh Produce

ATLANTA, May 30, 2025 — In a remarkable act of kindness, Cox Farms has donated over 1 million pounds of fresh, greenhouse-grown food to families battling hunger. This generous contribution comes just months after the company announced its partnership with Feeding America®, highlighting the potential of indoor agriculture to provide nutritious, year-round food access on a grand scale.

Nourishing Communities with Quality Produce

Cox Farms is dedicated to delivering high-quality, perishable items such as lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, and peppers—foods that are vital for everyday nutrition. Each donation not only aims to fill plates but also supports families in building a healthier future.

“From the beginning of this partnership, our goal has been to deliver healthy fruits and vegetables that bring real nourishment to the table," said Steve Bradley, president of Cox Farms. "Because this isn’t just about feeding people. It’s about helping them thrive. We’re proud of the momentum we’ve built with Feeding America, and we’re just getting started.”

Growing a Better Future with Indoor Agriculture

The collaboration, initially launched in January 2025, merges Feeding America’s extensive national outreach with Cox Farms’ ability to cultivate produce year-round through innovative and sustainable practices. Cox Farms has committed to providing 3 million pounds of produce annually to local food banks via Feeding America.

With over 700 acres of greenhouse space and an astonishing annual yield of more than 450 million pounds, Cox Farms is uniquely equipped to supply consistent, nutritious produce to feed the nearly 200 food banks and 60,000 partner organizations in the Feeding America network.

“Everyone needs nutritious food to thrive, and in every community in America, people are working hard to provide for themselves and their families," said Dru Montri, Vice President of Agri Food Engagement at Feeding America. "Yet 47.4 million people — or 1 in 7 people — experience food insecurity in the United States. Together with Cox Farms, we are committed to ensuring everyone has access to nutritious food for health and well-being.”
