Alpha Phi Alpha’s Epsilon Rho Lambda Chapter Celebrates the 2025 Beautillion

On July 12, 2025, the Alpha Phi Alpha’s Epsilon Rho Lambda Chapter dazzled attendees at Fort Bragg’s Iron Mike Center with its eighth annual beautillion, themed "Fantastic Voyage: The Journey from Beaus to Men." This celebrated event marks a significant milestone in the chapter’s long-standing tradition of mentorship for high school seniors in Cumberland, Hoke, and Harnett counties.

The Essence of the Beautillion

As a highlight of the fraternity’s mentoring program, the beautillion not only showcases the achievements of young men but also emphasizes their transformation into successful college-bound individuals and responsible citizens. Jeffery Womble, the chapter chairman, expressed his pride, stating, "The beautillion has become one of the most popular and highly anticipated programs in our area. It’s an event that reflects the tremendous dedication of our brothers, and the changes we see in these young men are well worth the effort."

Spotlight on Excellence

Among the celebrated honorees, Arrington Richardson, a graduate from Massey Hill Classical High School, was named this year’s Beau of the Year. The son of Vertis Richardson and Laquanda Gipson, Arrington will pursue a degree in music education at Fayetteville State University this fall, marking the beginning of his exciting new journey.
