In an official statement released on Wednesday, an Everton spokesperson confirmed the ban, highlighting the seriousness of the offense. “Following enquiries into a social media clip showing clear theft of food during the first test event at Everton Stadium, we have identified the individual responsible,” the spokesperson stated. They further elaborated that the situation was reported to Merseyside Police, which resulted in the man receiving an out-of-court disposal. As part of this resolution, he has agreed to donate £12.75, the estimated value of the stolen items, to Everton in the Community, a charitable initiative aimed at supporting local causes.
The spokesperson emphasized the club’s commitment to maintaining a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all attendees: “In line with the club’s zero-tolerance approach to such behavior, the individual has been issued with an indefinite ban from Everton Football Club, and his seasonal membership has been revoked.”
