Florida State Volleyball Unveils Thrilling 2025 Schedule
TALLAHASSEE – Excitement is in the air as the Florida State volleyball team has officially announced its 2025 schedule, and it’s packed with thrilling matchups! This season promises not just intense competition but the chance to see the Noles take on nine NCAA Tournament qualifiers, including two Final Four teams, Louisville and Pitt.
A Season Kicking Off with Energy
The journey begins with the Garnet and Gold Scrimmage on August 22 at 6 p.m. Fans are invited to witness the team in action, followed by an exhibition match against South Alabama on August 23 at 3 p.m. Both matches will be held at Tully Gym, ensuring a great atmosphere for supporters.
Road Warriors: The Initial Stretch
The Noles will hit the road for their first six matches, starting with a trip to Jacksonville. Mark your calendars for August 29 when they take on UIC at 3 p.m., followed by a showdown against North Florida on August 30 at 6 p.m. Both these engaging encounters will be hosted at UNF Arena.
The South Florida Showdown Awaits
September will kick off an exhilarating series of games as FSU heads to Tampa for the South Florida Showdown. Expect an electrifying match against USF at 6 p.m. on September 5, before they face NCAA Tournament participant South Carolina on September 6 at 3 p.m.
SEC Rivalry: Four Consecutive Challenges
The excitement ramps up as FSU embarks on a series of four consecutive matches against SEC opponents. This journey includes a clash with the Oklahoma Sooners on September 10 in Norman, followed by a visit to face the Auburn Tigers on September 12. The Tigers will then return to Tallahassee for FSU’s home opener on September 14 at 2 p.m., followed by a matchup against Georgia State on September 15 and wrapping up non-conference play at Georgia Southern on September 20.
ACC Action: The Crucial Gauntlet
FSU’s ACC play gets underway with a tough series of four road games, facing teams like Clemson, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and NC State. However, fans won’t want to miss the excitement as FSU returns home to compete against two top-15 opponents. SMU visits on October 10, and the highly anticipated match against Final Four participant Pitt takes place on October 12.
Coast to Coast: A West Coast Adventure
The Noles will make their way to the West Coast on October 16 and 18, squaring off against legendary programs Stanford and Cal. Then it’s back home for four straight matches, where they will clash with Virginia, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, and Boston College.
Rivalry Renewed: Miami Matches
As the season heats up, FSU will engage in a fierce rivalry against Miami, starting in Coral Gables on November 5 before hosting them at Tallahassee on November 8. The Noles then face a tough stretch against National Runner-Up Louisville on November 13 and Notre Dame on November 16.
Concluding the Season at Home
Fans can mark their calendars for the finale of the season, as three of the last four games will be hosted at Tully Gym. The home stretch features matches against North Carolina, Duke, and Clemson, with a challenging trip to SMU on November 26.
