SEATTLE – The excitement reached a fever pitch as the No. 7 University of Missouri gymnastics team clinched their spot in the NCAA Championship Semifinal in an electrifying showdown at Alaska Airlines Arena. With a remarkable score of 197.425, the Tigers showcased their hard work and determination, securing a well-earned second place finish in the regional final on Sunday.

As the competition intensified, Mizzou (22-8, 5-3 SEC) found themselves trailing No. 15 Auburn by 0.850 points heading into the nail-biting final routine. Finalizing their efforts on the beam, the Tigers notched 49.275, with key contributions:

  • Both Railey Jackson (Forest Park, Ill.) and Addison Lawrence (Olathe, Kan.) securing scores of 9.850, leading to Hu’s triumph that ultimately clinched their spot at the NCAA Championship Semifinal.
