Havaianas has brought yet another collection inspired by the geek world, this time with League of Legends, LoL, one of the most famous games in the world. According to Riot Games, as of November 2021, the game has reached 180 million monthly active players. To celebrate this special launch, the brand has an integrated campaign with a concept conceived by Cheil.
The great milestone among the initiatives developed by the agency is the promotion of an activation on one of the main streaming platforms of the gamer community, which took place on September 21. Havaianas had professional streamer Thiago Djoko, who, in addition to playing LoL and broadcasting the match live, also received the new sandals from the Havaianas x League of Legends collection at home.
The idea of this new collection is to use the gamer’s language and its universe in a native way and go beyond superficial and generic work. Therefore, the brand decided to do the live to explore new ways to communicate and connect with this gamer audience. The sandals also portray this, with prints focused on the characters and not just the game.
In partnership with League of Legends, Havaianas’ objective is to meet new demands from its consumers, fans of the gaming universe, for which new models were developed. There are four prints in the traditional unisex Top model, with numbers ranging from 35/36 to 45/46. The designs focus on the game’s champions: Jinx, Ekko, Akali, and Yasuo. The sandals illustrated with Jinx and Ekko will be sold exclusively on the Havaianas e-commerce.
