**HARRISONBURG, Va.** – The **James Madison University Dukes** showcased incredible skill and determination during the final day of the **Sun Belt Outdoor Track & Field Championship** at **Sentara Park**, highlighted by the standout performance of **Holly Mpassy**. Her efforts garnered 15 crucial points across three events, making her a pivotal figure for the Dukes.

### A Stellar Performance by Holly Mpassy

Receiving the final handoff in seventh place during the **4×400-meter relay**, Mpassy unleashed a remarkable surge, clocking a **52.41 split**—the fastest of any anchor leg in the competition. The relay team finished with a season-best of **3:42.38**, securing the fifth-fastest time in program history. Mpassy has now contributed to three of the top five all-time relay squads at JMU, further solidifying her legacy.

Additionally, Mpassy captured the **silver medal** in the **400-meter dash**, shattering her own school record with a time of **53.23**, narrowly missing first place to Southern Miss’ Kennedi Sanders, who finished at **53.22**.

Earlier in the day, Mpassy teamed up with **Kaia Putman**, **Faith Fuqua**, and **Kyndal Turner** in the **4×100-meter relay**, where they finished eighth with a time of **45.53**.

The team title was clinched by **Texas State** with an impressive **119 points**, followed closely by **Louisiana** with **108 points**, and **Southern Miss** at **97 points**. The Dukes concluded their championship journey with **30 points**, tying for **11th place** with **ULM**.

– **Sofia Terenziani** clinched a **fifth-place** finish in the **1,500 meters**, achieving a personal best of **4:27.62**, which added four points to the Dukes’ tally.
– **Ryann Bennett** made history by moving up to **third** in the school’s discus rankings with a throw of **45.06m (147-10)**, securing **seventh place** in the event.
– **Jordyn Henderson** crossed the finish line with a time of **13.82** in the **100-meter hurdles**, earning valuable points for the team.
– **Grace Mimnaugh** amazed with a personal best of **11.19m (36-8.5)** in the **triple jump**.
