With a membership spanning over **three decades** since 1990, Szczomak is no stranger to the NJCPA. His extensive involvement has seen him contribute to various committees, including:

- Financial Services Resource Group
- Accounting & Auditing Standards Interest Group
Moreover, he has held multiple leadership positions, serving as a trustee, treasurer, and secretary within NJCPA, as well as a trustee for the **New Jersey CPA Political Action Committee**.
A Legacy of Service and Expertise
Szczomak has dedicated over **38 years** to Smolin, where his journey began as an intern. After graduating from **William Paterson University**, he has built a commendable career specializing in high-net-worth clients, healthcare, retail, and professional services, with a prime focus on tax. His commitment extends beyond accounting; he actively participates on the board of the **Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation** and chairs the finance committee at **St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church** in Paterson. Notably, he has also served as past president of the **New Jersey State Elks Association**.

As president, Szczomak is laser-focused on addressing the **CPA pipeline challenges** facing the profession today.
