Event Details: Join the Movement for Health and Hope
When: May 21, 2025
Where: North Las Vegas VA Medical Center
Time: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The heart of the VA2K is a refreshing 2-kilometer walk (just 1.24 miles) designed for participants of all ages. Plus, it’s completely free to join! Everyone from employees and Veterans to families is welcome. Remember, non-employees will need to fill out a waiver to participate. For convenience, you can download the waiver here to bring with you, speeding up the check-in process.
A Chance to Give Back: Help Homeless Veterans
While the focus is on promoting a healthy lifestyle, the VA2K also serves as a vital platform for community support. Participants are encouraged to bring voluntary donations such as clothing, toiletries, packaged food, or bottled water. These contributions will be distributed to homeless Veterans in Southern Nevada. Notably, since 2011, the VA2K has successfully raised over $3 million in donations nationwide for this noble cause.
Engage and Learn: Booths and Activities along the Route
As you walk, take a moment to stop by the informational booths scattered along the course. You’ll be able to learn more about the VA Southern Nevada Health Care System (VASNHS) and discover vital community resources available to you and your family.
