BREMERTON, Wash. – On a challenging Tuesday that saw the Kansas State men’s golf team shoot a 4-over par 292, they positioned themselves firmly in the race for a top-five finish at the 2025 NCAA Bremerton Regional. This prestigious event is unfolding on the beautiful par-72, 7,167-yard Olympic Course at Gold Mountain Golf Club, and the stakes couldn’t be higher for the Wildcats.
The Quest for History
The Wildcats aim to secure their first-ever trip to the NCAA Championship, currently standing in fifth place with a 36-hole total of 6-over par 582. The competition is fierce, with six teams within a mere ten shots of each other, all vying for the final three spots available for the championship.
Head Coach Grant Robbins on Team Performance
Reflecting on the day’s play, head coach Grant Robbins remarked, "Today was a bit of a grind. We kind of gave away a few shots on our first nine, but they did a great job of battling all day to keep us in contention." He expressed confidence in his team’s potential: "Our good golf is good enough. It’s about staying committed to our game plan and playing our game."

Leading the pack are powerhouse teams Florida and Arizona State, boasting scores of 25-under par and 16-under par, respectively. Close on Kansas State’s heels is Charlotte at 7-over par 583, and South Florida and Utah are tied for seventh at 8-over par 584.
Star Performers Shine Bright
Senior Kobe Valociek stole the spotlight on Tuesday with an impressive round of 1-under par 71. Valociek showcased his skills, countering four bogeys with three birdies and an eagle on the par-5 6th hole. A transfer from Virginia Tech, Valociek has made his mark at Kansas State, improving 11 spots on the leaderboard to tie for 21st place at 1-over par 145.
Senior teammate Cooper Schultz also performed admirably, scoring an even-par 72 and maintaining a three-way tie for sixth place at 4-under par 140, just two shots shy of a spot in the top three.

Another impressive showing came from senior Ian McCrary, who observed ups and downs during his round, finishing at 4-over par 76 and tied for 35th place at 4-over par 148. Meanwhile, Nicklaus Mason managed a 3-over par 75, entering the final round tied for 48th place at 7-over par 151. Lastly, freshman Erik Sabelström Holmberg improved significantly, recording a 2-over par 74, putting him in 63rd place at 10-over par 154.
