Extreme Flavor’s owner, Akeem Raphael, captured the essence of this initiative perfectly. “This program gives us the support, visibility, and credibility we need to bring African and Caribbean street food to more communities across Boston,” he shared. By participating, these food trucks are not just serving meals; they’re weaving cultural stories through every dish available.

Support for Entrepreneurs

Melissa Castro, Director of Tenant Relations & Partnerships for Graffito SP, reinforced how food trucks can be a platform for long-term success. “We need to create as many opportunities as possible to support entrepreneurs,” she said, highlighting that the program fills a significant gap in Boston’s nightlife economy.

The Late Night Food Truck Program is more than just a seasonal event; it’s an opportunity for food entrepreneurs to test their concepts, build their customer base, and thrive in Boston’s diverse culinary landscape.

Engaging with the Nightlife Economy

This initiative is a significant step taken by the Office of Nightlife Economy, which engaged hundreds of stakeholders to understand the needs of the community. Since the start of the year, the office has initiated several programs and grants to support local businesses, including $300,000 in funding for various projects.
