PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Excitement is building for Rutgers volleyball as they proudly unveil their thrilling 2025 season schedule! This season promises to be packed with high-octane action, featuring 13 home games and a comprehensive 20-game Big Ten slate. Fans can look forward to epic matchups against some of the NCAA’s top competitors, including Nebraska, Illinois, Purdue, Minnesota, Oregon, and Washington**.
Kick-Off the Season: A Journey Begins
The Scarlet Knights will launch their season with an away trip to Buffalo, New York, from August 29-31. They’ll face formidable opponents like Marist, Liberty, and Buffalo in what promises to be an exhilarating kickoff to the season.
Nonconference Showdowns
The nonconference action continues with a highly anticipated weekend in Fairfield, Connecticut (Sept. 5-7), where RU will take on Dartmouth, Sacred Heart, and LIU. Get ready for these must-see matches that will set the tone for the season!
First Home Matches
The excitement returns to Piscataway as the first home matches are set for September 10-12. The Scarlet Knights will host:
- Rider on Wednesday, September 10
- St. Francis (PA) on Thursday, September 11
- New Hampshire on Friday, September 12
Transitioning to the Big Ten
As the Big Ten season gears up, the Scarlet Knights will hit the road for a challenging start. They take on Wisconsin on September 26 and Minnesota on September 28, both of which are key matchups that could set the tone for Rutgers’ conference journey.
Back-to-Back Home Showdowns
October opens with a fantastic opportunity for fans, as the team will play five of six matches at home. The action kicks off on October 3 against Maryland, followed by battles with Nebraska (Oct. 4), Northwestern (Oct. 10), and Illinois (Oct. 11). Don’t miss the thrill of Homecoming/Alumnae Weekend on October 19 against Purdue!
A Halloween Road Trip
The month of October finishes with three away games, including a high-stakes matchup against national champion Penn State on October 24. The Scarlet Knights will also visit Iowa and Ohio State on the 26th and 31st, respectively, further solidifying their competitive spirit.
November Climax and Season Finale
November begins with an intense match at Michigan State on November 1. However, the Knights will return home to host Michigan on November 7 and finish their season series with Ohio State on November 9. The excitement isn’t over yet! Expect a thrilling West Coast trip as they face off against USC and UCLA on November 14-15, followed by a final road date at Indiana on November 20.
Closing the Regular Season at Home
The regular season crescendos with three home games: against Minnesota on November 23, Oregon on November 26, and Washington on November 28. This final home stretch is not to be missed!
