Bobby Gold, proud owner of Best Thing Smoking, stands at his grill, sweat glistening on his brow. “We’ve brought a lot of fans out here,” says Gold, referring not just to the physical fans he’s using to combat the heat, but also to the fervent supporters of his delicious offerings.

For food vendors like Chris Hopkins from Holly Donuts, staying cool amidst the sweltering temperatures is a constant challenge. “Air conditioning is a luxury we don’t have!” he laughs, sharing that he relies on neck coolers and the misting fan to maintain composure. As the mercury rises, vendors adapt creatively to keep their culinary creations flowing and fresh.

Despite the soaring temperatures, Brittany Griffin from the city of Blue Ash highlights why Summit Park is the ideal backdrop for the festival. “We have dining tents that provide shade, and the lush trees help make the heat more bearable,” she mentions. This thoughtful planning ensures that festival-goers can comfortably savor their delicious meals.
