RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond men's tennis team showcased their prowess on Saturday at the Westhampton Tennis Complex, claiming their first Atlantic 10 Conference victory of the season with a commanding 6-1 win over Duquesne. This triumph elevated the Spiders' overall record to 8-6, while they improved to 1-2 in conference play. Conversely, the Dukes stumbled to 2-8 overall and remain winless in A-10 action at 0-2.

Doubles Competition: Setting the Tone for Victory

Right from the outset, Richmond seized the momentum, winning two of the three doubles matches. The dynamic duo of Cole Brashear and Davis Wiley opened the day with an impressive 6-2 victory against Duquesne's Alfrendo Vogelaar and Keita Duclos on court one. Adding to their success, Dylan Atkinson and Otto Sewell clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win over Tancredi Alfano and Enrique Lana on court three. The match on court two remained unfinished with Richmond holding a lead of 5-3.
