The **Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board (WSMB)** is on the hunt for innovative thinkers and resourceful collaborators! The board understands the **challenges farmers face** on their journey to profitability and is committed to laying the groundwork for long-term success in soy production. In line with this mission, WSMB is calling for comprehensive proposals that encompass research, promotion, market development, production concepts, sponsorships, and educational tools—designed to bolster the bottom line for Wisconsin's dedicated soybean farmers. MADISON, Wis.—A Call for Action!

With nearly **17,000 soybean farmers** relying on its guidance, the **Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board** plays a pivotal role in directing checkoff investments. This elected board, composed of **seven soybean producers** from various regions of the state, actively promotes both domestic and international marketing strategies, engages in impactful research projects, and fosters education and technology transfer efforts.

WSMB's Commitment to Farmer Success

According to **WSMB President Jonathan Gibbs**, “As stewards of Wisconsin's soybean checkoff dollars, we critically evaluate each proposal, assessing the potential impact on producers statewide. Our **request for proposals** is not just a process; it’s a cornerstone of our mission.” This sentiment underscores the board’s dedication to enhancing the profitability of Wisconsin’s soybean industry.

The Purpose of the Request for Proposals (RFP)

This **RFP** is designed to solicit viable proposals from diverse investigators and collaborators that aim to improve the financial footprint of Wisconsin soybean producers. Here’s what successful bids will be expected to do:

**Elevate profitability** for Wisconsin soybean farmers while boosting awareness and education about the critical role of soybeans and soybean products in our economy.

Ensure collaborators maintain meticulous records available for audit by WSMB, the **United Soybean Board**, or the **USDA**.

Guarantee WSMB retains ownership of all materials and insights produced by collaborators.

Prevent collaborators from delegating contractual responsibilities without prior approval.

Prohibit awarded funds from being used for lobbying or any political influence.

Establish contracts with a one-year validity that include provisions for annual termination, if necessary.
