WWE Money in the Bank Predictions: A Ladder of Excitement Awaits!
By Don Murphy, ProWrestling.net Contributor (@DonThePredictor)
The spotlight shines tonight on the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, as WWE presents its highly anticipated annual event, Money in the Bank (MITB). Over the years, the MITB has evolved from a mere spectacle into one of WWE’s marquee events, yet this year feels slightly different—perhaps even a bit underwhelming. With only four matches and no major titles on the line (aside from the Women’s Intercontinental Championship), some fans may find this year’s event a tad lacking in substance. However, don’t dismiss it just yet! The Women’s Money in the Bank match presents a whirlwind of unpredictability, and the main event tag team clash is teeming with intriguing storylines.
Let’s dive deeper into each match and share some thoughts on what could unfold!
Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Participants:
Alexa Bliss, Roxanne Perez, Rhea Ripley, Giulia, Naomi, Stephanie Vaquer
The anticipation for this match is palpable. Who will emerge victorious? Each entrant brings their unique flair to the ring. Alexa Bliss, returning with a newfound determination, could certainly use this opportunity to reignite her momentum. Meanwhile, newcomers like Roxanne Perez, Giulia, and Stephanie Vaquer have a chance to establish themselves with a monumental victory.
Rhea Ripley remains a fan favorite, but her potential win feels predictable, even if a “Mami in the Bank” T-shirt might sway some opinions. Ultimately, I believe Naomi has the potential to steal the show. She’s delivering one of the best performances of her career as the unpredictable, emotionally volatile competitor. The prospect of her taunting Smackdown Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton with the briefcase holds endless entertainment value. Plus, potential feuds with Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are ripe for the picking if she successfully cashes in.
🔮 Don Predicts: Naomi wins the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Participants:
Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Penta, Seth Rollins, Andrade, El Grande Americano
Unlike the women’s match, this one feels a little more predictable, and I’m not sure that’s a good thing. Will Rollins reclaim glory with another memorable cash-in? While he’s a strong contender with an illustrious history concerning the MITB contract, the intrigue surrounding LA Knight adds another layer to the match. This being Knight’s third opportunity makes it even more compelling.
Andrade and Penta promise jaw-dropping ladder spots, while El Grande Americano could be a wild card with delightful cash-in teases. Ultimately, though, I think WWE is gearing up for Seth Rollins to take home the contract, as his journey for control of the company continues to unfold. A loss would derail the narrative they’re building around him as the ultimate victor.
🔮 Don Predicts: Seth Rollins wins the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Tag Team Showdown: John Cena and Logan Paul vs. Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes
This match brings back nostalgic vibes reminiscent of WCW/NWO days, albeit with a modern twist. Logan Paul may not have the same clout as Dennis Rodman, but he undeniably holds his own in the ring.
In this encounter, expect a few tensions between Cena and Paul, though nothing concrete may arise. Cody Rhodes stands to benefit significantly from this match, possibly pinning Cena to set up an intriguing rematch for the title later this summer.
Moreover, Jey Uso is juggling multiple storylines, especially with a title match against Gunther looming on the horizon. Expect this match to build further drama in that narrative. While a cash-in may get teased, I doubt anything will transpire here, especially considering how invested WWE is in Gunther’s storyline.
🔮 Don Predicts: Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso defeat John Cena and Logan Paul.
Women’s Intercontinental Title Match: Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch
Stakes:
- If Valkyria wins, Lynch can never challenge for the title again.
- If Lynch wins, Valkyria must acknowledge her as the champion.
We often see the classic trope: the babyface wins, then the heel ultimately bounces back for revenge. Initially, I believed Lynch had the upper hand in this storyline. But as the days progressed, I felt that this could be the moment to elevate Valkyria into the spotlight. Both women appear committed to the narrative, and the crowd is beginning to respond positively.
Should Valkyria win, the emotional payoff of raising Lynch’s hand would resonate with fans. My gut tells me we may even witness a surprise twist with Bayley returning to potentially cost Lynch the match, setting the stage for future feuds.
🔮 Don Predicts: Lyra Valkyria retains the Women’s Intercontinental Title.
With a blend of established talent and emerging stars, tonight’s Money in the Bank event is sure to deliver a mix of emotion, excitement, and unexpected twists. Stay tuned as the wrestling world continues to evolve!
