Sedona Shines on “American Dream TV” with New Lifestyle Segment

In April, the breathtaking town of Sedona will take center stage in a new segment titled “Selling Sedona” on the popular television program “The American Dream.” This exciting initiative, hosted by local Realtor and Sedona native Kris Anderson, promises to unveil the unique charm and lifestyle of this stunning Arizona locale.

Kris Anderson: A Dream Realized

Kris Anderson’s journey to the screen has been anything but typical. As a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, she initially aspired to be a television reporter. However, she pivoted to a double major in communications and business. Now, she finds herself on the cusp of her dreams, blending her passions for media and real estate into a remarkable television segment.

I feel like what I wanted to start doing, I’m here later in my life, and I’m getting this opportunity,” Anderson expressed, reflecting on her path. She’s no stranger to the spotlight, having previously appeared on HGTV’s “House Hunters.”

What to Expect from “Selling Sedona”

Produced by Craig Sewing of San Diego, “Selling Sedona” aims to provide uplifting content focused not just on real estate but also on the vibrant lifestyle and culture of the region. “It’s positive media — niched in real estate, but it’s about lifestyle, culture, and different neighborhoods,” Sewing explained. Each episode, running for 30 minutes, will feature real estate professionals sharing their insights, with segments spotlighting their communities.

Spotlighting Community and Culture

About 80% of each segment will spotlight lifestyle and local charities,” Anderson shared. Not just focused on brick and mortar, the show will also introduce viewers to local personalities, including:

  • Johnathan and Lauren Maldonado, owners of a popular Sedona wine bar and store.
  • Linda Goldenstein, a renowned gallery owner.
  • Nancy Weinman, the proprietor of an architectural service.

Additionally, expect features on local treasures like the Fine Art Museum of Sedona and programs aiding low-income students in the community.

A Mission of Positivity

In a world often mired in negativity, Sewing’s vision for “American Dream TV” is refreshingly optimistic. “The mantra of the program is ‘positive media niched in neighborhoods,’” he stated, differentiating it in a crowded media landscape. Anderson’s segments will serve as a celebration of everything that makes Sedona a special place to live, complete with unscripted insights that showcase authenticity.

Continuing the Journey

Anderson is committed to this venture, having signed on for six segments over the course of one year, with hopes of extending the project beyond that initial run. Final Thoughts

As “Selling Sedona” prepares to debut, it promises to be a vibrant representation of this community’s spirit, offering insights into local living through a lens that promotes positivity and connection. Whether you’re a resident, potential buyer, or just someone captivatingly drawn to the beauty of Sedona, this segment is set to inspire and engage.
